Chartered Financial Planner

Gemma Darcy has been awarded the title Chartered Financial Planner by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).

Chartered Status is the profession’s gold standard for financial planners. It confirms that every Chartered Financial Planner has completed a suite of professional qualifications equivalent to a bachelor’s degree.

It also involves a commitment to continuing professional development and adherence to an industry standard Code of Ethics. You can view the Code at www.cii.co.uk/code.

The Chartered Financial Planner Qualification

The individual Chartered Financial Planner qualification fits into the National Qualifications Framework at Level 6, which is equivalent to a Bachelor Degree.

Chartered Financial Planner carries comparable qualifications as with other established professions, such as Chartered Accountants and Chartered Surveyors.

For financial planners to use the professional designation of Chartered Financial Planner, it is mandatory to be a member of the Personal Finance Society, the leading professional body for financial planners.
